First, I am going to be moving in with some pretty cool doodskis, So be prepared for more bromantic posts (not really).

Second, I am going to be shifting everything I do to a different Tumblr. I am sorry and I’m truly not trying to be difficult and annoying. The truth is, I can’t hook this blog to my instagram because this blog isn’t the primary one on the account. Also, This blog was kind of a “I don’t have a job so lets write” kind of thing. It seems like I am doing more of a “random encounters, rants, and reposting thing.” So go to the new spot and follow if you’d like.

The Store Hours Conundrum

So we all live in a society that adheres to certain accepted rules and standards. While sometimes we may find them inconvenient, it doesn’t mean that we can change them on a dime to benefit us in the moment. With that said I have a story that isn’t told to demonize the person involved. It’s just something that slightly ruined the tone of my day and brought up thoughts about human stupidity.
Today someone came into the store eight minutes before we open. There was an awkward moment when the customer got extremely condescending when asked to leave because the store wasn’t open. Despite the unfortunate situation of being in a store before it opens, THE STORE STILL ISN’T OPEN. So you have no reason to act like I am being a child. We are both being pretty childish. It is equally ridiculous for a store to force someone to leave if they are in the store, as it is for a person to demand that they be allowed into a store when they show up early. There is no reason anyone should take the high horse because both sides are child-like.
…Goodness that pissed me off all day.

So I was sitting with friends watching The Hunger Games and happened to notice that there were a lot younger women in the theater. Suddenly, I hear a “Team Peeta” from one of the youngsters and it hits me. All it takes to get a hit among the tween girls (apparently the money demographic) is a female main character of the same age group who has two doods fighting over her. It must be some deep seeded dream of all woman to be fought over by two attractive males…

Not to choose a side, but Peeta was quite the bitch in that movie. He got no kills and won on a technicality.

Some faith in humanity was restored yesterday. As I was helping another customer by bringing their merch to their vehicle something caught my ear that made me so delighted, I almost quit my job and live my dreams. A mother with two young daughters came walking down the sidewalk behind my store. The daughters were talking a million miles a minute as young girls tend to, when the mother stopped the youngest in her tracks with a

“Never Say That!”

I assumed that the child either repeated a curse word and the mother was acting responsibly. However, when I got closer I heard something else.

“Never say the phrase ‘I only…’ about getting anything.”

I then heard the mother explaining that receiving anything is a gift and complaining about is being ungrateful. This ladies and gentlemen was music to my bitter, pessimistic ears. I used to think that the children of this age are going to be the most stupid and selfish generation that will inevitably bring about the Apocalypse. This mother showed me that maybe children will be taught the right ways to live. Because the mother should teach her children are grateful for the things they receive. There are human beings all over this earth who think the best things should just be given to them for zero work. All these spoiled people don’t want to contribute to society at all, but want society to fulfill their dreams. Maybe, our children will turn that around… Maybe.

So I was hoping to re post some sweet stuff from the benefit show that we had at APU on March 1st, but that stuff isn’t out yet so I will extend some recommendations and thank yous and such. First, big ups to We Are Ansel for bringing all types of awesome (as well as all their fans) to the show. You should give them a listen. Second, I want to give a big thanks to Cam who filled in as our vocalist for the gig. The dude gave %110 into the set, with only a night of learning the songs. His normal band Defamation is pretty tasty sounding, so check them out also. Third, the band is separating from the talented Garrett Russell and is currently looking for a new vocalist. Garrett has done a lot for the hepafilter, but is now pursuing Silent Planet full time. I wish him well and suggest you check out their stuff too. It was an awesome show and I hope to post some evidence here soon. I’m sure it will hit Hepafilter’s Tumblr first, but I will re post.

Girl Scout Cookies must contain Crack

I have not been a ravenous fan of girl scout cookies. But I understand that they are pretty delicious. Today a woman who is associated with the scouts came in for the third time in the last two weeks. She unloaded tons of cookies on the employees of Pacific Sales and pulled in stacks of hay. She was acting like a dealer, having stashes for each person. One employee got what seemed like a mixed dozen and explained that he has to hide his cookies so his family doesn’t devour them. I’m worried that institution of female growth and leadership actually sells narcotic filled cookies. I imagine a warehouse filled with all the young darlings packing the cookies with white gloves while older women watch them with semi autos. You have to make sure that none of the little darlings are stealing bits of the product for their own little side business or their own use. Because it seems that people who eat girl scout cookies tend to be a little addictive. They have their flavor and they need their fix. “Two boxes of samoas” “I always put my thin mints in the freezer.” These aren’t people helping little girls. They are junkies funding an illegal drug ring that uses child labor to continue their empire…

I have random daydreams. Sorry I don’t post as much. (like people read)
